If developers copy someone else’s work or deceive users, it hurts users and the developer community. Don't rely on deceptive, spammy tactics or unfairly use of other people’s work.

Impersonation

Impersonation occurs when a program without a true connection attempts to portray itself as a program, organization or someone else. This may also occur unwittingly and in the event that the content of the program creates an impression of existence of an official contract between the parties.

If you use the brand, icon, or name of other program to introduce your program and create a sense for user that the program has been developed by the same entity and has quality and content similar to those of the other program developed by the same entity, then this is considered as impersonate of a developer and its program and considered a violation by virtue of Café Bazaar laws.

If there is no formal contract or approval, do not pretend that the institution or organization has approved your application or the program is linked to another group or institution, no matter what type of program you are offering or what motivation you have.

The following guidelines can help you:

- Programs in their content use any form of name or trademark of organizations, clubs, sites, programs or the names of natural and legal persons and ..., they do need to earn permission from them.

- Do not pretend to be someone else. If you are not the official representative of a company, organization or third party, do not pretend that the content of your application has been created by them.

- If the use of name or trademarks of others is in ordinary level and in accordance with the terms of use and fair treatment, it is necessary to explicitly state the "informal" nature of the program and its non-attribution to the owner of the name or trademark.

- The sale or supply of foreign, Iranian and any translated or manipulated versions of programs in the name on in favor of another developer isn’t possible.

- Do not support the offending sites and programs. Do not move user to sites that violate Bazaar rules or introduce themselves as a program or organization.

- Do not use the name and icon of other programs. Do not use the name of the person, organization or product of others in the name and description of your application (without permission from them).

Using Name of Other Apps

If the name of a program is known or recorded, you are not allowed to use this name (without permission from its owner) in the title of your application, as this may be misleading for user. For example:

Proper naming method:

- If you publish a different version of an open source application, you need to mention its informality in the title of the program.

- If the application you developed has the same functionality as other existing programs, you need to use the new name.

Identity Authentication and Formality: Artists, companies, organizations, government departments, banks, sites and blogs, events, conferences, events and more are required to be authenticated before publishing their programs at Café Bazaar.

- authentication of people can be done through communicating through requesting website domain official email, providing an officially signed and stamped letter and other documents that will be asked of them.

Contradictory information

Apps that do not perform as advertised by the developer or include undocumented or hidden features inconsistent with the app description will be rejected.

Apps must not contain false or misleading information throughout contents, titles, icons, descriptions or screenshots.

App’s name and icon have to be similar to what is shown after it’s being installed, so that it won’t mislead or confuse the user.

If the program is interaction-based in any form that allows users to participate in making content, you should set clear, transparent rules for participation,  concessions, and other issues relating to fraud or distortion, and to refrain ratings.

This application is a very basic grid puzzle game, but it’s listing suggests it is a racing game.

Ungenuine Comments, Ratings and Installations

comments, ratings and installations of programs are a standard criteria to measure its quality and the user's decision to get the program depends on their authenticity. As a developer, you should not penetrate your app comments or other developers’ programs (by writing unreal comments, giving unrealistic points or installation).

In order to know the problems of users with the program, it is necessary to regularly review your comments and rates, focus your comments on main problem of the program, and refrain from asking for a higher rating from users.

Unrealistic comments, ratings and installations

To ensure the quality of comments and ratings, Bazaar is sensitive to the way they operate and how they are requested. Note that any manipulation of comments to change the position of the program in Bazaar is a violation. Most common Examples of these manipulations are ungenuine or incentivized installs.

Request a Comment from User

Avoid providing any incentive to receive comments. It is against the rules to persuade users to comment against prizes and other incentives, or to make it dependent to promote a program with a comment, or to force users to submit a comment. The subsequent requests from users to post comments is also against the rules.

It is allowed to request a comment from the user if it is not persuading him to submit a positive one.

For example: "If you like this game, you can submit your own comment on Bazaar"

Respond to user comments

Users feedback is an integral part of the app user experience, so you should consider the following item down below when responding to their feedback.

  • In responding to user feedback, treat them with respect.
  • Post your answers about users comments and do not enter your personal information in your reply.
  • Avoid spam or marketing in this section.

For more information, you can read «Response To User Comments Guideline».

Metadata

Make sure that the program and its descriptions do not contain inappropriate, misleading, repetitive or irrelevant content. To improve the user experience, providing such content is considered a violation of laws and results in no more than negative feedback from users and an increased likelihood of the app being removed.

Describe your app accurately: Make sure the title and description describe the app function and user experience accurately.
Don't use repetitive keywords: Using repetitive or excessive keywords is against our policy.
Don't use irrelevant keywords or references: Your description should not be loaded with irrelevant keywords in an attempt to manipulate ranking or relevancy. Using keywords like Sale, Special discount, Gift, etc. is not allowed.
Keep it brief: Keep the description succinct and straightforward. Shorter descriptions tend to give a better user experience on devices with smaller displays.
Describe possible weaknesses of the application: List problems, incompatibility with devices or versions of Android operating system and specific terms of use in the description. If the developer has provided a trial version to assure users of the application's functionality, they should explicitly require users to try the trial version in the application description.

Repetitive keywords

Your app description should not include keywords that are repetitive or excessive. Please do not include user testimonials in your app description. Let your users speak for themselves via comment review system.

Excessive detail, references to your other apps

Your app description should avoid excessive detail and references to your other apps or products. For example, you should not list all of the details of content included in the app or its various components, as shown in the example below. Also, the description should not include any references to other apps you’ve published unless the current app will be a demo version and you want to reference to the full version of your app.

Other product or brand names in app titles

Your app's title shouldn't use other products' branding or names at the start of your app title without prior permission of the brand or name owner. This implies association and can be misleading for users.

  • If you are publishing a different version of an open source App it’s necessary to mention “Unofficial” in the App title.
  • If you are developing an app with the same functionality that other apps have; you cannot choose the same app title like the others.
